History of Air Bear Travel, Inc.

Air Bear Travel, Inc. began serving the Cheboygan area in June of 1984. Shelli France began her journey with the company in June of 1985. Paul and Shelli purchased the agency in March of 1994 and it has evolved from a small one room travel agency to a Full Service Travel Agency and Motorcoach company.

From 1999 until present, we have been named “People’s Choice” for favorite travel agency in Cheboygan, Emmet and Presque Isle counties. In 2007 and 2008 we  were named “Michigan’s Best” independently owned travel agency by the Detroit News. We are accredited through Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC), International Air Transport Association (IATAN) and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

** As of July 2022, we have made the decision to sell our motorcoaches, due driver shortages, rising cost of fuel and other expenses.  HOWEVER, we will continue offering motorcoach tours, chartering buses through Michigan companies that we know and trust!  We appreciate your support and understanding as we turn to a new chapter!  We will remain your friends in TRAVEL -as we enter our 39th year in business!**
